WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another senior or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Friday 5/6

My favorite series of movies of all time is the Rocky's. I've never been a huge fan of boxing, but during our senior project I have found boxing to be an amazing workout. Ben and I started going three rounds of one minute of combinations. It was very very hard. Not only did my stamina come into question but keep your arms high and tight so you do not get hit in the head is extremely tiring. Gradually we have excelled out boxing workout. We now do a minute of combonations which include after every punch thrown, dodging a left or right hook. The hardest part is keeping your head straight when you duck to make sure you are not vulnerable to a counter punch. After a minute of combinations, we each go right into thirty seconds of left right punches, where one of us will hold the pads and the other one will without stopping or ducking throw left right hooks. This is extremely tiring and a true test of will. We have progressed to five rounds.
I have found keeping up on the nutritional side a challenge. It is fairly simple to have a turkey burger instead of a hamburger and get fruit instead of fries, but I find portion control to be a challenge. First, it seems to be very annoying for a server to be asked how many calories are in a meal and how many ounces of protein are in it. Most give you a look like are you really asking me this your a young kid just eat it. Second I find I am more hungry because I have limited my snacks during the day. I try to eat fruit or vegetables when I can but with the amount I am working out, it doesn't seem to be overly filling.
Swole-nation signing out. Eat right, live longer.
